Introduction

Welcome to Sealift Shipping. These Terms & Conditions govern your use of our website and our freight forwarding, customs clearance (CHA), transportation, warehousing, and logistics coordination services. By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to comply with these terms.

Services

Sealift Shipping provides air freight, sea freight, domestic & coastal transport, customs clearance, warehousing, door-to-door delivery, and related logistics services for import and export cargo.

All services are subject to shipment details, regulatory requirements, carrier availability, and mutual agreement.

Quotations and Pricing
  • Quotations are based on the information provided at the time of inquiry.
  • Rates are subject to change due to carrier tariffs, fuel prices, port charges, government regulations, or unforeseen circumstances.
  • Additional charges may apply if actual shipment details differ from those declared.
Customer Responsibilities

The customer agrees to:

  • Provide accurate cargo details, documentation, and declarations.
  • Ensure proper packing, labeling, and compliance with transport standards.
  • Comply with all import/export laws and regulations.
  • Declare hazardous, restricted, or special-category cargo in advance.
Documentation and Compliance

While we assist with documentation and customs coordination, the customer remains fully responsible for the legality, accuracy, and authenticity of all submitted documents.

Any fines, penalties, or delays due to documentation errors shall be borne by the customer.

Transit Time and Delays

Transit times are estimates based on normal carrier schedules. We are not responsible for delays caused by weather conditions, port congestion, customs inspections, strikes, government actions, or carrier issues.

Liability Limitation

Sealift Shipping acts as a freight forwarder and logistics coordinator, not as a carrier.

Our liability is limited to the value of the service charges paid for the specific shipment. We are not liable for loss, damage, or delay caused by shipping lines, airlines, transporters, ports, customs authorities, or third parties.

Cargo insurance is strongly recommended.

Cargo Insurance

Cargo insurance can be arranged upon request. If insurance is not requested, Sealift Shipping shall not be responsible for cargo loss or damage during transit.

Payments and Charges
  • Payments must be made as per agreed terms in the quotation or invoice.
  • Delayed payments may result in service suspension.
  • All duties, taxes, demurrage, detention, port storage, and government levies are payable by the customer.
Demurrage, Detention, and Port Charges

Any demurrage, detention, port storage, customs penalties, or carrier charges due to delay in documentation, clearance, or cargo pickup shall be borne by the customer.

Warehousing and Storage
  • Storage charges apply after the free storage period expires.
  • Cargo left unclaimed for 90 days may be sold to recover outstanding dues without further notice.
  • We are not liable for deterioration or spoilage of perishable or temperature-sensitive goods during storage.
  • Sealift Shipping reserves the right of lien on cargo for unpaid freight, storage, duties, demurrage, detention, or other charges.

Dangerous, Hazardous, or Restricted Cargo

Customers must declare hazardous, dangerous, restricted, or regulated cargo in advance. Failure to declare such cargo makes the customer fully liable for penalties, damages, and legal consequences.

Indemnity

The customer agrees to indemnify and hold Sealift Shipping harmless from any claims, fines, penalties, losses, or damages arising due to:

  • Incorrect cargo declaration
  • Improper packing
  • Incomplete or false documentation

Violation of import/export regulations
